A: You select the gear you want to rent for the dates needed, and then go through the process on the app. You’ll need to take photos of the gear before and after to ensure product condition etc. You’ll need to verify with Government ID, and have a stripe account to manage payments.

A: Every user needs their own insurance. Whether you bring your own, or purchase through the app, you’ll both need insurance. The gear is condition is on the renter to bring it back as it was, or there will be fees invoked.

A: Bikes, skis, snowboards, climbing gear, boats, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, etc.

We’re pulling a mere 7% from every rental. This covers our cost for now at startup. This is subject to change.

Yes, you do. We want to make sure all transactions are safe. Our app as an AI software that accepts Gov’t issued ID.

Rented Local is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace that allows people and businesses to rent out their gear.
Approve Requests: Review and approve rental requests.
Coordinate Exchange: Arrange pickup and return times with renters.
Get Paid: Payment is processed and securely deposited once the rental is complete.
For Renters:
Search & Book: Find items by name, location, and dates, then submit a booking request.
Coordinate Pickup: Work with the owner to finalize details.
Use & Review: Enjoy your rental and leave a review afterward.

One of our many partners, Stripe offers a secure and seamless process for us. You’ll need to make an account through Stripe, which will directly link to your bank.

If an item is damaged or not returned, owners can file a dispute. Renters are liable for replacement costs as outlined in our Terms of Service. Optional protection plans offer additional support.

Yes, both parties need insurance. You can bring your own, but will need to upload proof. Our partner, Front Row Insurance has policies available for you in 5 minutes at checkout.

More than 24 hours before the rental start date: Full refund.
Within 24 hours of the start date: 50% refund.
Less than 1 hour before the start time or after the rental starts: No refund.

The renter will receive a full refund.
